Sarah supports local business in Brent

Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather has attended the Brent Business Venture's anniversary celebration to show her support for successful Brent entrepreneurs.

Brent Business Venture (BBV) is a not-for-profit business support agency, working to inspire business success. They were established in 1983, and support new and growing businesses with free and impartial advice services.

As well as being a Brent MP, Sarah Teather is the Liberal Democrat Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform.

Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said:

"Our local businesses play an important role in making Brent such a vibrant place, and it was inspiring to meet people who had overcome the odds to set up their own successful businesses.

"It can be really hard for people setting up a new business to wade through the realms of Government legislation they need to get started. I therefore warmly congratulate the achievement of the Brent Business Venture on the huge amount of valuable support that they offer to both new and existing businesses in Brent.

"I hope the Brent Business Venture will go on supporting our local businesses for another 25 years."
