Sarah thinks that the Government should take more care with local people's personal information

Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather has reacted angrily to news that Brent Primary Care Trust have lost almost 400 patient records.

The lost data was stored on a lap top computer, and includes information relating to individual patients names, addresses and medical diagnosis. The breach follows a string of other high profile incidents where the Labour Government have lost people's personal information.

Local Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said:

"People in Brent will be understandably alarmed to hear of this latest incident so soon after the Government lost the details of every family in the country. Medical information is extremely sensitive and private, and people have a right to know that it will be kept safe.

"Time and time again we are seeing the shockingly relaxed attitude of this Labour Government towards people's personal data. The Government need to fundamentally rethink the way they store and protect sensitive information."
