Brent's Liberal Democrat MP Sarah Teather has written to Primesight Advertising asking them to remove a "Shoot 'Em Up" poster displayed along the route of the Peace March planned for September 15th.

The poster, displayed on the corner of Kenmont Gardens and Harrow Road, is advertising a film about a hit man, "Shoot 'Em Up". It shows a photo of a man aiming a gun into the distance. Some members of the community have raised concerns that the advertisement is inappropriate in an area that continues to suffer the serious consequences of gun crime.

The Peace March, organised by Brent's Not Another Drop Campaign, aims to highlight the dangers of guns and encourage members of the community to get involved in the fight against gun crime.

Following a request from local resident and campaigner Rocky Fernandez, Sarah has asked the advertising company to consider removing or replacing the "Shoot 'Em Up" poster on the day of the march.

Liberal Democrat MP for Brent East Sarah Teather said:

"The vast majority of teenagers want the same as the rest of us: to feel safe on their own streets. But a minority of young people need to understand that guns are neither cool or glamorous.

"Residents of Stonebridge and Harlesden know only too well that guns ruin lives. I hope many people will take part in the Peace March to take a stand against gun crime in Brent. The more people that take part the stronger our voice will be.

"I have written to Primesight asking them to replace the 'Shoot 'Em Up' poster on the day of the march. This would send a powerful message of goodwill and solidarity to those who have lost loved ones to gun crime."
